Peace Be With You

July 7th, 2007 · No Comments · Family Life

This is a gluten free/dairy free entry.

Tonight the BoyChild and I went to Mass. We sat in the back in the Family Room/Crying Room. It is a small room with two short pews and two kneelers.

Often times we will be the only ones back there. Tonight we were joined by a family with four children. The oldest child was about 7, one is a day older than the BoyChild, there is a little girl about three and a toddler. I honestly wonder how her mother keeps her mind.

The BoyChild wasn’t too bad but situations like that are often hard for him. Sitting still is something he finds hard to do. We brought food and water. We brought his GameBoy.

We reached the point of Mass where everyone turns to their neighbor and says, “Peace be with you” and shakes hands. I kissed the BoyChild on the head and wished him Peace. I shook the hands of the husband and wife behind me. The BoyChild peered over the pew looking at the little girl behind us and said, “Peace be with you.” It made my heart melt.

Later he told her sister, “Stop that, you are being annoying.” I actually brayed like a donkey at that. I mean coming from him, that was rich!

Peace be with you.
