Time Flies When You are Having Fun

Wow! I didn’t realize until today that it’s been more than a month since I’ve posted. Let’s see. Where to begin?

I gave my seminar last week. I, as I was afraid, spent a HUGE amount of time on it and am now behind on all my work. But I thought the presentation went well. Several people I didn’t know came up afterwards and introduced themselves and thanked me for all the hard work I’d put into the presentation. And one person I did know said, “I’m gonna have to go change that one I’d been working on because of some of the things you told me.” And, another plus, I got nine hours of CLE plus an hour of ethics!

I didn’t get the blazer ordered for my outfit. But I wore another black jacket I already had and the outfit still looked good.

I don’t know whether the GirlChild will be passing the sixth grade. She turned 13 about 10 days ago, it’s out of my hands and I’ll deal with whatever comes, when it comes.

We’ve had more allergy testing done on the BoyChild. It sometimes seems like he really is allergic to nearly everything.

I’ve been investigating what we can give him to control his behaviors and we’ve started him on Tri-Salts and Singulair. We’ve had some Singulari for him for a while, but we’ve never been able to get him to take it. Getting meds into him is always a horrible orderal. The Hubs and I have also switched cars so the BoyChild isn’t riding in the Husband’s diesel automobile anymore. I’m not sure what it is, but one of those, maybe a combination of all three, seems to be working. He’s been calm. No violent outbursts. He’s been sweet and gentle. It’s almost like a different child.

We’ve enrolled the BoyChild in Kumon. And he LOVES it! They suggested starting him on reading and writing and add the math later. He is learning to write his name and beats the clock when he’s there so he gets toys, so what more could you ask for?

We are also looking at a Toyota Prius for the Husband to drive. My car, while it doesn’t get bad gas mileage, doesn’t get great mileage and between the Kumon, Tutoring, Tumbling Class, Speech Therapy and Counseling he and the kids drive hundres of miles a week, so we really need him to have something that gets better gas mileage.

Back to your regular programing.

We’ve missed you! But then again, I’ve not been the most stellar blogger myself, have I? Goos to have you back!
