Who knew this was an instrument of the devil?

I have since learned it is an instrument of the devil.

There are those who would say it’s that I have absolutely NO self control, but I chose to go with the instrument of the devil theory.

See. When I first started officeing at the Baba’s office there was no one else there who drank real coffee. Real meaning fully loaded, leaded, fully caffeinated, coffee. So, since I had a rather large thermos I started taking it to work.

Since then, I have broken two rather large thermoses. They don’t do well when they drop out of your car when the door opens suddenly and they are leaning against it.

So, I have a much smaller, sturdier, thermos. And by much smaller, I mean it probably holds 30 ounces of hot coffee and my thermal coffee cup that probably holds another 15 ounces of coffee and I took those to work every day and brought them home every night.

But I often found I was running out of coffee about 2:00 in the afternoon. And I would switch to water. but then by 3:00 I would need a little pick me up and I would be all out. Gone. Nada.

Occasionally the Hubs would take pity on me and bring me an additional thermal cup of coffee. But he couldn’t always do that. And it wasn’t always convenient. And some days I just suffered.

So last weekend while at my local CVS, I spotted the IOTD. And I thought, “that’ll just get me through the afternoon.” That one simple cup of coffee to get me over that mid-afternoon hump and through the rest of the day.

I took it to my office and lovingly set it up in the break room.

I offered it to anyone who wanted to use it to help them get through the afternoon.

But, as I told you, it is the instrument of the devil. Now that I have this unlimited supply of coffee, I’m guzzling my thermos of coffee and my little thermal cup of coffee before lunch. I’m making a cup of coffee to drink with lunch. I’m drinking a cup of coffee an hour in the afternoon and I even made a cup at 5:00 pm “for the road” yesterday. It has taken over my life.

So now, by 5:00 I am so jittery, and hyped up on coffee, I can barely type by the time I normally leave my office at 5:30 or 6:00. I feel like the voices in my head are Mickey mouse and at any second my head could explode.

So, I’m going to have to have an exorcism. Or show a little self restraint.

You suppose the priest at church is available?

Oh MissMamamoon can do it for me! I don’t have to bother the priest. Or show any restraint!
