Miss Cranky Pants

June 10th, 2006 · 1 Comment · Books

I’m feeling a little cranky today.

I’m not entirely sure why. Just bear with me here.

How come Landsend, On the Counter, is selling Down Parka’s when it is 100 plus degrees outside today? I mean can anyone seriously think about buying a down parka today? In this heat? I don’t  think so.

I love LandsEnd’s, On the Counter. They list stuff a relatively cheap prices and then they go down all week. I hardly every buy anything from it, but I think about it and occasionally they do put something up I just have to have and it’s for a good price!

I hate iTunes.

Besides having a really stupid name, it isn’t very easy to use.

I got an I-Pod Nano as a gift several months ago. I really only use it to listen to books. I’ve finally figured out how to copy books onto iTunes and then load it to my Ipod, but it seems like an awful lot of work. And iTunes doesn’t tell me when it’s finished copying a disk, so I have to keep checking back. I mean this one has SEVENTEEN disks. And I have to sit at my computer the whole time and keep checking back to make sure it’s still copying and it isn’t time to put another CD in. Why can’t it make a ding when it’s finished copying a cd? Or open the disk drive and ask for another? That doesn’t strike me as too hard.

And speaking of books on disk. Are these done by monkeys? There doesn’t appear to be any consistency in the same book about the naming of the disks or the chapters. And there isn’t any consistency between different books. So right now disk five is appearing as though it were disk one because all of the disks are numbered except for disk five! I have been trying to figure out how to move all of disk five to the right place so I don’t have to start listening in the middle of the story but without much success. These things are put together by Monkeys I tell you!
I think it’s the heat. Did I mention it’s 100  degrees outside?

Ciao,

M&Co.

Sometimes, when you re-read it later for yourself, cranky is funny. I thought this was funny the first time through. You’re a good writer! :-)
