I’ve been away for awhile. I know. Graduate school really kicked my rear.
I have been doing a little stitching while I look for a job.
I finished this just last Friday:
This is a painted canvas by JB Designs. I looked for a web page, but couldn’t find one though I think the canvas is still available. There is also a Mrs. Clause. The stitch guide is written by by Carole Lake. The copyright on it is 1998. I bought the stitch guide at The Needle Works in Austin, Texas. My receipt says I bought it in 1999 and I’m assuming I started it about that time. I stitched on it and got a lot done. I really don’t know why I stopped. I’m guessing something befuddled me, so I put it down and started something else thinking I’d get back to it soon. I didn’t until just recently.
I’m working on this for my niece:
It is a piece I had custom done by Anne Stradel of ABS Designs. This is the third one I’ve done like it. This is part of my effort to have all the kids have ornaments that look the same but are different I still have a couple more to stitch. Yes the year says 2013. I got them before I started graduate school when my life ground to a screeching halt.
I got this piece for Jacob’s ornament this year.
It is a Design by Heidi. I don’t think there is a web page but I have her e-mail if you want it. Email me and I’ll share. I don’t have much left to do on it either.
Heidi has a whole bunch of these with words like Peace, Hope, Love on them. They make lovely ornaments. I decided not to buy one for everyone. Instead I’m going to buy them as I think I can stitch them. I’ve got so much I need to stitch that I don’t need to be buying new stuff.
Hopefully these two will be finished soon. Then I can move on to something else.
