Steve Jobs snagged my husband

April 18th, 2011 · No Comments · Family Life

Yesterday we bought my husband an I-Phone.  A nice shiny, touch screen bundle of wonderfulness.

You have no idea how funny I find this.

I readily admit I’d love to have an I-phone, a MacBook and an I-Pad.  But.  While lovely.  And Fun.  They are all expensive.  I don’t want the bottom of  the line.   I want the one with 32 gigs of memory and will run on WiFi or connect with its own direct network.  Which?  Don’t come cheap.

But David?  He has professed disdain for everything Apple.  The I-Pad?  It’s simply people wanting to have the newest gadget?  The MacBook?  An overpriced computer.  The I-Phone?  Everyone has bought into the hype.

David needed a new phone.  He usually takes my hand me downs, but this last one didn’t really have much life left in it.  So, he’s had a lot of trouble with it.      And I HATE not being able to get in touch with him.

AT&T has I-Phones for $49.  I suggested to him, in a teasing sort of way, that he should get one.  He agreed to look.  Yesterday we were off to the AT&T store and he walked out with a bundle of I-Phone goodness.

Of all the people in my family that I thought would get an I-phone.  I NEVER thought David would be the first.
