A Perfect Post

October 2nd, 2006 · 1 Comment · Family Life

I’ve never done this before.

I’ve intended to. Last month I intended to give a Perfect Post to Kristin at Home on the Fringe for her vignette about Terrible Apocalyptic Threes. I mean I read it two or three time and it made me snort and giggle and laugh out loud each time. I even called The Husband in from the other room to read it. And he laughed out loud too.

And in July I intended to give one to Antique Mommy for her vignette about the Last Weekend In July. Which was a bitter sweet piece about how changes happen and at the time they seem to be the end of the world but ultimately they work out for the best.

But something happened each time. Real life interferred. I didn’t get it done. My apologies to Kristen and Antique Mommy.

This month, I’ve got a little more on the ball.

I am giving a Perfect Post to Steve at the Hygiene Chronicles for his vignette at the BlogFathers, Don’t Let Go. This post brought tears to my eyes. Maybe it’s because my own Father is aging. Maybe it’s that my own four year old is letting go. As he frequently reminds me, “I can do it myself!” It was well written and poignant. And oh so true.

So go check out Don’t Let Go and Steve at the Hygiene Chronicles and Antique Mommy and Kristen at Home on the Fringe.

And if you want to read some more nominations for A Perfect Post, check out Suburban Turmoil and Petroville where Lucindia and MommaK have graciously put this all together.

Ciao,

M&Co.

Thanks so much for the mention! Ah yes, the apocolyptic threes. SIGH.
