What I had for dinner tonight

Today at my Weight Watcher’s meeting, we talked about how many fruits and veggies we ate in a day and how to get more in our diet.

I struggle with this on a daily basis as well as how to get more variety in my diet. I tend to get in a rut and eat the same things over and over.

So, I thought I’d try to keep track of what I eat, as well as the points, here for all the world to see.

Breakfast I had two boiled eggs. 4 points.

Lunch I had a Pita with 2 servings of Hungry Girl Hummus, carrots and cucumbers.

At some point in there I ate a banana.

For dinner I planned to have turkey tacos. I had ground turkey for 6 points, taco shells for 1 point each, lettuce, WW cheese and fresh salsa. After making two tacos, I decided to turn it into a turkey taco salad with salsa and cheese as the dressing.

For dessert, I had the fruit salad pictured above with a sauce made of Greek yogurt and honey.

It was very filling. I think I hit my 8 servings of fruits and veggies. I got two of my servings of milk. And I ran 1.85 miles in 32 minutes tonight.

Not a bad day!
