The Elusive Uniform Pants

November 20th, 2010 · No Comments · Family Life

Uniform pants.

They are elusive.

Last Sunday we went to 3 Old Navy stores, Sears, The Children’s Place.

Summing up we’ve been to:

Target
JCPenny
Macy’s
3 Different Old Navy Stores
Sears
The Children’s Place.

When I was telling my friend about my woes, she suggested Burlington.  Some place else to add to my list because this child seems to be growing like a weed and will no doubt need uniform pants in the not too distant furture.

Late Sunday night, I ordered 5 pairs from the Old Navy web site.  They did not have a huge selection in any size at any of the Old Navy stores.  David seems to think we have established that the Old Navy pants were acceptable to the BoyChild.   The fastener is appropriate.  There are no seams which offend in some way.

They were $14.50 a pair.  Not a bad price.  Not a great price.  But better than the $24-29 price we had been seeing at some of the stores.  The longer we looked, and couldn’t find any in his size that he would actually wear, the better the $25 per pair of pants begun to look.

And as my luck goes on these things.  After I’d placed my order.  The Very. Next. Day.  I received an e-mail about 30% off any order on Old Navy dot com.  I thought about cancelling the order and placing it again but decided, the way my luck had been running, that I’d just better  go with what I’ve got.
