On Monday I ordered a book from the Canadian version of Amazon. It arrived yesterday. The VERY.NEXT.DAY.
Damn! If that’s not good customer service, I don’t know what is.
I don’t know where I saw it, but I read a review on someone’s blog. I’m nothing if not a lemming, so I ordered one.
It is Dread Crew: Pirates of the Backwoods by Kate Inglis. I have a seven year old boy and it looked like something he would enjoy. Since he’s getting lots of Wii games, Hot Wheels stuff and Bakugans, I thought he needed something to improve his mind.
It is a hard back book. It wasn’t anymore (I don’t think) than if I’d bought it here. It is beautifully illustrated. And from what I’ve read of it, I think the BoyChild will enjoy it.
And Amazon’s Canadian customer service rocks!
In the interest of full disclosure, I don’t know Kate Inglis, though I would like to, and Canadian Amazon doesn’t know me from Adam. The only money that changed hands was my money going to Amazon Canada.

Oh, you would LOVE Kate, and you’re right – Amazon.ca is FABULOUS.
I’m halfway through the Dread Crew myself, and loving it….

Oh that’s so great, I’m glad you received it so quickly. I’ve been hearing that lately, how fast Amazon.ca is shipping to the States… they bribe the customs agents with maple syrup. I’m sure of it.
Hope you and the boy enjoy the story. Hope so very much. :)
