Today begins the week of Thanksgiving in the U.S.  Thanksgiving is that time when Americans get together and eat ourselves into a stupor.

It is that long slippery slope that will take us into the Christmas holidays and send us ricocheting out at the end of the year.

We had the first holiday party at my office today.  I had turkey and chocolate pecan pie and potato cheese casserole.

I feel all of my hard work dieting sliding away.

I guess that’s what new years resolutions are for.
