Last Friday night I went to the mall and got my hair cut.

This is natural curl.

I decided, at some point last spring, to let my hair grow out to donate to Locks Of Luv.

So, Friday I went in to have it cut off.

It was so thick and curly that unless I combed it in the shower when it had cream rinse all over it, I didn’t try to comb it or brush it out.

I wore it up most of the time.  Occasionally, when I was feeling particularly ambitious, I would french braid it or do a single braid down the back.   But the braiding required a lot of work.  And the putting it up required, um, 4 pins and not so much work.

I think it makes me look less gray; all the gray is now hidden in the curls.

I think it looks softer and less harsh.

to Locks of Luv tomorrow.

I don’t think I’ve ever had my hair that long before.

I don’t think I’m going to do it again anytime soon.

But I’m glad I did it this once.
